CANORAFT
|
|
Escape with paddles!
|
|
You'll be two on the craft, seated or kneeling,
with a single paddle.
|
|
As with white water rafting, the canoraft is
an inflatable dinghy that is not fragile. It is made to face adventure
in complete independence (the maximum weight is 450 kg) but also to
simply go down white waters. The raft is quite wide (1.04 m), and its
centre of gravity is really close to the water level. This means that
it is very steady and easy to handle (with his length of 3.85m), even
in extreme situations.
It is ideal for beginners, but experts will appreciate its qualities as soon as the first paddles strokes. Its self emptying system enables a quick draining of the water taken on board while going through rapids. It also helps in handling it. On board, you will be seating or kneeling, safe and stable. If you should be overturned, you would by thrown out of the raft. You'd be able to get back on the boat and wouldn't have to swim to dry land. This inflatable structure is light (19kg) and easy to carry around. It absorbs shocks and forgives mistakes. It is a great way to discover waves and the way they make a boat move. It was designed using the technology of white-water rafts, with several parts inflated separately. |

You will be wearing a complete isothermal suit
(with sleeves) to protect you from the cold, the shocks and to gain
buoyancy. You will also have a single paddle (around 1.45 m for an adult),
a life-jacket, a helmet and a pair of neopren boots with thick soles
to walk on rocks.
